About the work
What does “want” mean when applied to an artificial agent: an assigned objective, a condition for acting, a tendency produced by design, or something a person projects onto a system? The developing project uses that ambiguity to investigate agency and our relations with AI.
The book idea remains in development and does not assume that an AI system has subjective experience.
